Help, please

Rebels' Guide to Planning a Wedding and Getting Married

Brene Brown's TED Talk on vulnerability is in my mind today as I send this email.

Because friends seeking vulnerability - are vulnerable with each other - and if you're on this email list there's a high chance that you're either a friend, or someone who wants to be my friend, or we're just not friends yet.

In the spirit of being vulnerable with friends, can I ask for help?

It's a wildly quiet and weird time to be in the wedding industry, most of the world has moved on from whatever the last four years was but the wedding industry is still quiet and there aren't the same number of weddings being booked this year as pre-covid. We're doing ok, no need to stress, I just like to get ahead of potential problems well in advance with a plan and a strategy, which is where you come in.

So, there's three things I am asking for help with, and if you could do one, it would be such a blessing.

  1. A review. This last week in Italy some restaurants were overflowing with lines down the street and others were empty. The difference is that algorithms like Google or Bing search, ChatGPT or Perplexity, Instagram or Facebook, are pushing people in one directions and not in the other. Reviews from real humans who have real and positive feelings about our businesses are what drive these algorithms (well reviews, money, and backlinks). So if you visited https://josh.reviews you'll find a list of places you can review me and The Elopement Collective. What to write? Just explain what makes us different or important to you, and what kind of people we are.
  2. A referral: If you know someone who's planning a wedding or they're engaged, a lovingly kind and gentle pointer towards our websites - marriedbyjosh.com and/or elopementcollective.com or our Instagram/Facebook at @hellojoshwithers and/or @elopementcollective means the world. First person referrals, aka word of mouth, is still the most powerful marketing tool in the world.
  3. A deal: For Tasmanian wedding couples referencing this email until the end of July I'm offering my MC package at the price of my ceremony-only price. That's a $1000 discount.

Thank you, and I hope that one day in the future if you need help that I could provide that you would be vulnerable enough to ask for help from me :)

Iโ€™m so excited to have found you! I follow Jeff Maeck from Canada and through him Iโ€™ve landed here. I am loving your authentic and profoundly fun online personality. I have fallen in love with love and have been officiating since 2018, slowly building my brand. While I am Canadian, I loved in Canberra for 4 years as me and my family took on an epic overseas life. Now based in beautiful Nova Scotia I am curating East Coast elopements! I have so much I want to do, and am thankful Iโ€™ve fallen into your orbit. ๐Ÿฉท๐ŸŒ…๐ŸŒŠ
